Mark Strand
Such a loss of a wonderful poet. Mark Strand's passing in November makes me wish there
are some other manuscripts unpublished. A dazzling mind...

Barn Garden
Byrd Kim Church
This is advertised as What is that genre older young adult fiction / contemporary fiction? New Adult? Sometimes genre seems to pin an author to some amazon selling scheme. Enough rant there. This one is quite lovely. Well worth a read under the gazebo this weekend when I had so many projects to complete: Well I did get Blair's car fixed, the sweet peas are climbing and working on revisions.
Kim Church's debut - bravo!

Organic Gardening
I'm an organic gardener. I try to feed my family with about fifty percent from our garden and some
from the organic farmers market where I often trade vegetables that I have a sudden over flow.
I don't have the luxury of time to be a real prepper but perhaps when I retire on my ranch in
Wyoming all these skills of do it yourself while being healthy and beautiful will pay off.
This book is helpful self sufficient life

Laura Ingalls Wilder True Story
I recommend this true story. I just finished the Little House Sequel which is not the soft
memory rose colored series we read as children or watched on Television. This autobiography
is written for an adult audience and was hidden away since the 1930's
Not to take thunder away from South Dakota but I'm sure you heard that Ellie Harper Lee
is releasing a sequel to Mockingbird. I met with her in 2013 and have kept it secret,
she has been working on revisions for ten years. I can't wait to read it.

Wabi- Sabi
I have this book upstairs, read it a couple times in my life.
It will take you thirty or forty minutes but the essence of
Japanese aesthetics is in this book. All things have life.
We can respect and learn to care for a pebble, a piece of
sea glass, a decaying rose hip. Have empathy for the spider
in your bathtub. Be mono aware of the music in simple things.
Nothing is permanent but the moment we experience the tiny.
If you live nearby, I'll loan this book to you. If you are
far away go find it at the library and smile.
Wabi - sabi
